THREESOME
“It was spring of 2018 and my friend Phillip and I had gone to hear our friend Reeve Carney sing at Black Rabbit Rose on Hollywood Blvd. Phillip disappeared to have a smoke and I tracked him down outside talking to these two remarkable people. The woman was petite - the flowers in her hair framing a Mrs. Lovett hairdo, huge smoky eyes, perfect skin and a fabulous Scottish accent. The man was this tall elegant being who looked like he had stepped out of another century, an Edwardian stovepipe hat topping his jaw-length white hair. They both had on the most amazing clothes - the man was wearing a hand-painted Gaultier frock coat that we fell in love with. It turned out that the woman had actually painted the coat herself - we arranged to do a photo shoot with her clothes the following week. From that night on, we were joined at the hip - Angela, Phillip and I named the line Threesome as there were three of us and Ang loved the cheeky name.”
